THANK YOU to everyone who helped NCHTA put on an amazing event. We really are all both exhausted and exhilarated by how successful it all was.
Photos that have been shared showing how much fun eveyrone had, and this makes all the hard work in the lead up to the event worthwhile.
The weather certainly helped, and the park looked a picture.

Draw has been emailed

NCHTA has worked very hard to make this event as enjoyable as possible – and we are thrilled that so many riders have entered. We hope you have a great weekend.

  • Canberra Lakes Pony Club are running the canteen on Saturday and Sunday, and will be opening the front gate so remember to have a few coins handy to donate to the kids.
  • We have a food van for Friday (Grill-Ax) and Saturday (Peachee) evening and the mobile bar (Tumut River) Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12.
  • Ice is for sale from the secretary’s tent – $5 a bag.
  • The draw has been created with great care and attention.  To help the event run smoothly, dressage takes precedence if you have multiple horses. SJ and XC are to run in numerical order. The XC is a move up draw, so that no-shows, withdrawals, and competitors riding out of order will affect start times. Riders must be ready to start when called by the marshal, and those who need to vary their starting order due to other rides must inform the marshal of this in advance.
  • We will be restricting the number of horses in the dressage warmup arena to those who have their tests within the next 30 minutes.  There is an area for exercising your horse in the camping area – which is well sign-posted.
  • Feed/hay and shavings – our sponsor Charlotte from Neigh Hay is going to be on site and can bring all your feed to the event for you! Please show her your support by preordering on their website.
  • There is a wedding on at the woolshed on Saturday afternoon – so please do not park around the woolshed.
  • There is NO POWER for camping. But we do have lovely hot showers in the camping area.
  • Please ask us if you have anything that concerns you – we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
  • If you need to scratch – please email Kate on canberraode@gmail.com
  • Remember the venue is called Equestrian Park, not Canberra Equestrian Centre, we suggest putting YARRALUMLA WOOLSHED in your GPS.
