Help Design Our New Logo!

The National Capital Horse Trials Association (NCHTA) invites its members, facebook followers, and just about anyone else, to help design its new logo. We are looking for a bold, creative design that will be used on letterheads, reports and event posters, as well as on merchandise like club shirts and Caps. It must reflect the spirit of the sport of eventing. It could incorporate reference to Canberra.

The logo can be of any shape, but the design should be provided so that it is clear at A4 page size or larger. Please make sure the resolution is good quality so that the logo can be printed at a large scale. It also needs to be suitable for small scale purposes, so small text should be avoided.

Entries close on January 30th 2014. Send your entry to canberraht@gmail.com. The winner, judged by the NCHTA Committee early next year, will win a free entry to our March event, and potentially other great prizes!

Burto Wins Adelaide 4*

How lucky are we to be hosting Chris Burton in Canberra for a clinic next weekend, after he has just won the prestigious Adelaide International Event! Burto was given a last minute ride on TS Jamaimo, after Will Enzinger broke his leg falling from a novice horse last week. Chris was intending to be a guest and enjoy the Adelaide four-star festivities on foot. He ran a masterclass on How to Make Time Cross Country, (so the pressure was certainly on him to come in under time!), and that’s just what he did. Burto’s first ride on TS Jamaimo was only on Wednesday. He backed up a clear cross country with a faultless showjumping round. What a great achievement. Congratulations Chris! We are all looking forward to next weekend.

All systems GO

Well work is well and truly underway at Equestrian Park, the water jump is nearing completion as can be seen by the photos, isn’t it going to be awesome?

I’ve been to Rodney’s and bought almost their entire stock of petunias and am going to be repotting them up so we can have a lovely display of flowers around the course.

Record number of entries

WOW – this event is going to be amazing! We have got over 300 horses entered for the event, and more riders are contacting me wanting late entries. We have a waiting list on nominate, so if you are considering coming, go online and enter, but the lower level classes such as EvA95 and lower are full to overflowing! We are hopeful that the water jump will be completed in time.
The working bee this weekend is still going ahead, so looking forward to seeing you there!
